Carrie Grace is a former teacher turned motivational speaker from Durham, NC. She is on a mission to inspire others to spread joy and kindness, in hopes of people making the world better than they found it. She's been known to love big; having thrown a party on an airplane, passed out free ice cream to strangers, and loves to encourage anyone who crosses her path. Her bucket list items include building a school in Africa, and hanging out with the one and only Taylor Swift. She typically drives around with a helium tank in her trunk because you never know when you'll need a balloon or two. In her free time, she's seen sipping on sweet tea and dreaming about the crazy idea to tackle. She owns the Kindness box which is a quarterly subscription box company that spreads joy and love. She currently travels the country to inspiring others and has she's been featured on major media including USA Today, Huffington Post, His Radio, and many more.

The premise of her presentation and workshop: The Power of Kindness: How to Love More, Become Braver, and Live a Life Full of Fun! We are sure that you will walk away with actionable ideas to implement not only in your workplace, wellness and employee programs, but in your life!

Kristen Hadeed imagines a world in which all organizations have cultures that empower people to keep climbing toward the best version of themselves every day. As the young leader of Student Maid, a successful cleaning company that hires students, Kristen has fostered a unique perspective on leadership, organizational culture and engaging the next generation. Her optimistic, energetic and insightful keynotes and workshops unleash potential in others to exceed their wildest expectations. She is an expert in developing and teaching practical, readymade tools that inspire people to take action.

Today, Kristen helps organizations make a lasting, meaningful impact on people by creating environments in which they thrive. She has worked with organizations in a variety of industries including healthcare, education, retail, real estate, nonprofit, hospitality, aviation and consumer products. In October 2017, she published her first book, “Permission To Screw Up,” in which she tells the stories of her biggest mistakes in leadership. She hopes to inspire other leaders to share their “perfectly imperfect” stories of success to empower people with the knowledge that even if they screw up, they can still make it. Kristen and Student Maid have been featured in news outlets including PBS, FOX Inc., TIME and Forbes. Her first TED Talk has received more than two million hits on YouTube.

"We’ve all heard about customer-centric companies, but what does it mean to have an employee-centric company? For me, it’s about fostering an environment in which we believe happy, healthy employees beget happy, healthy customers and bottom lines. It’s time we talked about where that culture of employee-centricity begins for our companies. In this playful workshop, you’re going to get a new job, a new title, and get onboarded! We’ll practice showing up for our employees at the place they need us most: when they start their career with us. Join me for some radical empathy, and prepare to get onboarded at the most employee-centric company you’ve ever worked at!" - Kristen Gallagher

Kristen Gallagher is a learning designer and an organizational strategist. She is the founder and CEO of Edify, a learning strategy consultancy that solves people operations problems for growing companies. She’s generally found lamenting terrible onboarding experiences, buying flowers, knitting sweaters for 1.7 years at a time, walking her retired greyhound and German Shepherd, and starting too many craft projects at a time.

Gallagher has presented research, workshops, and facilitated experiences at conferences and events of all sizes for over six years, focusing primarily on art history, museum, and education topics. Effective, efficient programs, events, and strategies make her heart sing, and in every project, she strives to engage teams and stakeholders to uncover the solutions for their needs (and often solve problems they didn't know they had.)

Overall great experience! So appreciated all of the passionate and smart conversations. Really liked that the message was ‘think differently, get out of your comfort zone, have fun and be bold’.
