We are super excited to feature a post by 2016 Headline Speaker Geno Church. We are even more excited to have Geno back again for the 2017 workshop to be one of our Headline Speakers again as well as participate with us throughout the whole workshop! He is bringing his passion for people to the wellness world on a whole other level! A new wellness program or fancy branded well-being initiative may sound great--but is it really about the people? Will it reach the people? Will it resonate with the people? How do you connect with the people of your organization to improve their overall health, productivity and quality of life? Join us at the workshop as we dig in on those topics...be warned, it just may get a little unconventional and messy--because when real people are involved, that is the best way to do it!

"My experience has lead me on a journey. I call it "The Call To Greatness."
Have I ever felt greatness in my life… for most of my life, if you asked me that question, my answers would be about my accomplishments, my happiness.
If I turned that around and asked when have you felt the greatness of others? My mind fires up… I smile, I feel something, deeper, more meaningful to me.
Let me tell you a story…
In the marketing world, the term “advocacy” has become synonymous with a structured strategy designed to inspire sales and build networks. We’re calling bull$%#!. Somewhere along the way, brands have lost their vision and their humanity.
Sure, sparking brand advocacy requires advocates, but reducing people to a buzzword does them a disservice. We’re talking about real people with real interests, passions, and feelings. People, not marketers, are the true drivers of word of mouth. Few brands are able to practice word of mouth marketing well because they make it about themselves – rather than empowering, celebrating, and lifting up those who love them.
So, what is the difference between great brands and brands of greatness? The answer is simple: it’s about the people. Any brand can do great business, but embracing advocates is the true hallmark of brand greatness.
It has been said that, “He who would do great things should not attempt them all alone.” Greatness goes beyond us. It’s something bigger and deeper than any one person or brand. It requires a rebellion against the way things have always been done.
We all want living messengers for our brands, but do you even know who those people really are? In this session, Geno Church, Word of Mouth Inspiration Officer at Brains on Fire, will help you find the path to your people. It starts by listening, and being curious and interested. When you’re willing to get down and your hands dirty, you’ll get closer to the people who love you for the way you love them. Great brands can work like an island, but brands of greatness steer a shared ship."
